Though the Six Nations settling down for the first of two rest weeks, there is plenty of action and features still to look forward to in this Sunday’s The Rugby Paper.
We speak to two of the top head coaches in the Premiership, Alex Sanderson of Sale and Phil Dowson of Northampton Saints. Both are backing their men for international success, with Sanderson expecting Tom Curry and George Ford to be recalled by England, and Dowson confident Alex Mitchell will add to his current tally of England caps.
The Premiership returned on Friday, and we have reports from Bristol vs Newcastle, Gloucester vs Harlequins, Bath vs Sale and Northampton vs Irish, with a preview of Sunday’s clash between last year’s finalists Leicester and Saracens
We’ll also have all the action from the returning URC with eyes on Munster vs Ospreys, Cardiff Rugby vs Benetton, Scarlets vs Edinburgh, Leinster vs Dragons, Glasgow vs Ulster, Lions vs Sharks, Bulls vs Stormers and Zebre vs Connacht
In addition to Sanderson and Dowson, we also have exclusive interviews from England rugby union and league legend Jason Robinson, current 64-capped second row Maro Itoje, Leicester and South Africa number eight Jasper Wiese, and USA and Sale flanker Georgie Perris-Redding
Former Scotland international Derek White, who amassed 42 caps between 1982 and 1992, picks a team of the best players he played with or against in our Dream Team column.
With all four games being played on a Saturday we’re covering every team in the Women’s Premier 15s, including Saracens vs Harlequins’ “The Duel” at Allianz Park.
And Glen Towson, the former Sale, Doncaster, Newcastle, Bristol and Ealing lock, now academy transition coach at Bristol, talks about his Life in Rugby.
