Alex Corbisiero added to Lions squad

Alex Corbisiero is leaving England‘s tour of Argentina to join the British & Irish Lions as cover for injured prop Cian Healy.
Healy suffered an ankle injury in today’s match against the Western Force and, with Gething Jenkins not fully recovered from a calf injury, Warren Gatland was left with only Mako Vunipola fit for the loosehad berth.
The Northampton-bound will depart today from Salta where England will play the first of two Tests against the Pumas on Saturday.
England have no plans to add a replacement to their squad in Argentina at this stage.
“We’re delighted for Alex,” said England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster.
“It’s very pleasing for him after he missed the Six Nations through injury and he goes with our full support and blessing. All the England players and management couldn’t be more pleased for him to get this opportunity.”
