One more year for BOD but no Amlin final

Brian O’Driscoll has signed a new one-year contract with the IRFU which will see him available for and until June 2014.
This ends heavy speculations that the upcoming British & Irish tour would the curtain on a career that spanned over a decade for the superstar midfielder.
BOD as he commonly known made his senior Ireland and Leinster debuts in 1999 and has since gone on to appear 125 times for Ireland and 172 times for Leinster, scoring 46 international tries and 59 tries for his home province.
Ahead of this week’s Amlin final against , O’Driscoll has already won a Grand Slam, four Triple Crowns, three Heineken Cups and two titles.
However, the 34-year-old has failed to recover from the back injury he sustained last week in the Pro12 semi-final against and will have to miss the clash against Stade Francais tomorrow.
In his absence, Leinster will be captain by No.8 Jamie Heaslip while Ian Madigan and Fergus McFadden will form the midfield partnership.
Lions-bound Jonny Sexton, Sean O’Brien and Rob Kearney all start at fly-half, openside and full-back respectively while Cian Healey is on the bench.
