Jonny Sexton has been ruled out of ‘s last game of the with a foot injury.
The playmaker, who missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, was due to start in the No.10 jersey but picked a foot injury in training and scans revealed he has a torn tendon in his left foot.
As a result ‘s Paddy Jackson is promoted from the bench and will start his fourth consecutive game for the Men in Green while Ian Madigan is on the bench.
Winger Craig Gilroy has meanwhile recovered from a groin strain and has been recalled on the right wing in the place of Fergus McFadden who is out with a rib injury.
There is no more changes to the starting XV but Ulster’s Paul Marshall has been included on the bench to cover the -half position after Eion Reddan suffered a broken leg against last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Jacque Brunel has made three changes to the team that narrowly lost to last week.
prop Martin Castrogiovanni, who limped off the field early in the game at HQ, is out with a thigh injury and is replaced by Leonardo Cittadini at tighthead.
Simone Favaro comes in at openside for Robert Barbieri while Andrea Lo Cicero replaces Alberto De Marchi at loosehead prop in the other two changes to the starting XV.
The back line remains unchanged as will look to secure their first ever win against Ireland in the Six Nations and avoid the wooden spoon.
