Jimmy Cowan will not play for the remainder of the season after it was revealed the Gloucester scrum-half damaged his ligament on Saturday.
The All Black was stretched off in Saturday’s 27-11 victory over Northampton at Franklin’s Gardens and Director of rugby Nigel Davies confirmed he was likely to be out for at least six months.
Davies said: “He’s very positive and just wants to play. He’ll do whatever he can to get back sooner than that.”
