Neil Briggs has received a three-week suspension and will miss the Exiles’ remaining Amlin and LV Cup games in coming weeks.
The London Welsh hooker was found guilty of punching Harlequins winger Sam Smith on Sunday as the team met at The Kassam for the 13th round of the Premiership.
The incident wasn’t noticed during the game but Briggs was later cited by independent citing officer John Byett.
He will be free to play again on January 30.
