Bath fly-half Tom Heathcote has been called up with Scotland ahead of their clash with Tonga on Saturday.
20-year-old Heathcote was born in Inverness but has been playing age-grade for England and was involved in the Junior World Championship with England U20s in South Africa last June.
Scotland head coach Andy Robinson said: “Tom has worked his way into the Bath first team squad from the academy and we’ve been monitoring his progress for the last couple of years.”
Heathcote said: “I am delighted to be called up to the Scotland squad. I’ve always known I was eligible to play for Scotland and I’m grateful to be given this opportunity.”
