Ireland v South Africa teams

South Africa-born Richardt Strauss has been handed his international debut after he was named in Ireland‘s team to face his native country on Saturday.
The Leinster hooker, who only recently qualified through residency, got the nod over his club teammates Sean Cronin for the No.2 jersey left vacant by the injured Rory Best.
Jamie Heaslip will captain the side for the first time as both Brian O’Driscoll and Paul O’Connell are sidelined with injuries.
In the back line, Tommy Bowe will be earning his 50th cap for the occasion while Munster‘s flyer Simon Zebo start at full-back replacing the injured Rob Kearney.
Mike McCarthy and Keith Earls will have to tough task to replace inspirational leaders O’Connell and O’Driscoll at lock and outside centre respectively.
Among the replacements, forwards David Kilcoyne, Michael Bent and Iain Henderson are all in line to make their international debuts should they be called into the game.
Strauss will literally go head to head with his cousin Adrian who starts at hooker for the Springboks when South Africa arrive at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday.

Saracens Schalk Brits is on the bench returning to international duty for the first time since 2008 as does CJ Van der Linde who has not appeared for the team since the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
