Clermont set sights on George

ON THE

Auvergne are preparing an offer to tempt and hooker Jamie George into leaving at the end of the season.

George, 32, has spent the whole of his professional career at Saracens after rising from their academy, but Clermont want him to play for them next season. He has won five titles and three European Cups with the Men in Black, but Clermont are confident that they can tempt him to leave.

They hope that the offer they are putting together will be enough for him to agree to cross the channel for the last of years of his career.
