John Mitchell waits in the wings for RFU and Bulls to agree compensation fee

The recompense demanded by the Bulls has proved a sticking point in negotiations, with newspaper Rapport reporting the RFU’s offer of £50,000 was promptly flattened by the outfit.
The counter demand of £500,000 by the Bulls would appear to freeze expectations that Mitchell would begin work as England defence coach in September, much to the frustration of the Kiwi.
One Bulls insider revealed: “You can see he (Mitchell) wants to go. It would be daft to keep him here against his will.”
Mitchell, previously head coach of the and , has over one year remaining on his current contract, expiring in October 2019, and has been marked by to fill the void left by Paul Gustard.
