Sale captain Dan Braid might never play for the Sharks again after it was revealed he requires a shoulder surgery and will be out for 12 weeks.
The former All Blacks flanker, who suffered the injury in the Premiership win over Wasps, will retired at the end of the season to take up a coaching role at the Sharks.
With his injury likely to keep him out until mid-April he faces a race against the clock to add to the 65 appearances he made since joining from Auckland Blues in 2013.
