Rhys Priestland will be in charge of leading Wales‘ attack against Uruguay in their World Cup opening fixture on Sunday after being named at fly-half by Warren Gatland.
There is another good news for Welsh fans with the return from injury of Liam Williams and Samson Lee.
Williams made a timely return to take the place of the injured Leigh Halfpenny at full-back while tighthead Lee will bring more fire power to the front row.
Alex Cuthbert and Hallam Amos complete the back three with Cory Allen and Scott Williams in midfield.
Priestland and Gareth Davies form an all-Scalets half-back pairing with Sam Warburton and Justin Tipuric both starting in the back row. Captain Warburton will wear the No.6 jersey with Tipuric at openside and James King at No.8.
Lee features along Ospreys duo Paul James and Scott Baldwin in the front row while Jake Ball and Luke Charteris are in the engine room.
“The squad are extremely excited to kick their Rugby World Cup campaign off on Sunday,” said Gatland.
“Playing in a World Cup, in your home country, at your home ground is a great honour and I’m sure the players will take that into the game.
“Uruguay will be looking to show what they are capable of and we know we need to be clinical on Sunday.
“It is great to have Liam and Samson back in the starting line-up. They have trained incredibly hard and Sunday is a great opportunity for them.
“It’s a great opportunity for all the players and it’s an exciting time ahead.”
