The Rugby Paper has teamed up with Zeus events to organise the world’s largest rugby awards on September 2, 2015.
The inaugural ceremony will take place in the Rose Room at Twickenham, the Home of English Rugby, and will be attended by sporting celebrities as well as team members of the England team and Premiership players.
The NRA are designed to honour the achievements of all the thousands rugby clubs across the country. The awards will acknowledge their dedication and commitment to rugby.
The Awards will give the opportunity for clubs at all levels to enter and gain recognition for their contribution to the game. We will be recognising clubs, players, coaches, volunteers, mini sections, supporters and many more people that make rugby the fabulous game it is.
There is no other event that brings together all the clubs and players from all the leagues in England, providing a great opportunity for sponsors to gain exposure to those at the very heart of English rugby.
England captain Chris Robshaw is the event ambassador and the RFU Injured Players Foundation will be the benefiting charity.
“I am honoured to be a part of an event that recognises the often unheralded work and achievements of those involved in rugby around the country,” said Robshaw.
“When the idea came up of a National Rugby Awards celebrating rugby at all levels, I was truly excited and thought it was a great idea. I jumped at the chance and the opportunity to be a part of what promises to be the largest rugby awards night in the world.
“The NRA have the potential to be an outstanding evening for the rugby community and our goal is for this to become a permanent fixture in the sporting calendar.
“I’m also pleased that the event is supporting the RFU Injured Players Foundation.”
