Mike Brown and Courtney Lawes will make their England return in Saturday’s Calcutta Cup against Scotland at Twickenham.
Full-back Brown has recovered from concussion he suffered against Italy in the opening round of the tournament while lock Lawes is yet to feature having to overcome an ankle injury.
As a result of their inclusion, Saracens pair Alex Goode and George Kruis drop out of the match day squad.
On the bench, Geoff Parling and Tom Wood are named in the place of Nick Easter and Tom Croft while Kieran Brookes is fit again and he takes over from Henry Thomas as tightwad cover.
“There’s always a lot of competition for places and having experienced players like Courtney, Tom and Geoff available after playing well for their clubs in the last few weeks adds to our options,” head coach Stuart Lancaster said.
“It’s been an intense two weeks of training as everyone wants to be on that field on Saturday and we have had to make some tough selection calls.
“Coming back to Twickenham will be huge for us and we are determined to put in a performance against a strong and motivated Scotland team.”
