Exiles’ Geraghty slots last-gasp drop goal to beat Exeter

Shane Geraghty kicked a last-gasp drop goal to help claim a 26-25 win over the at the Madjeski Stadium yesterday.
Gareth Steenson looked to have handed Exeter’s first win in four games with two late penalties but Geraghty snatched it in added time.
Before that, the Chiefs took a 13-5 into half-time with Dean Mumm crossing for a try and Steenson kicking the conversion and two penalties.
But the Exiles scored three tries early in the second half to go 20-13 in front. Tom was first to score with Alex Lexington following and Blair Cowan adding to his first-half try.
Dave Ewers’ try for the visitors closed the gap to two points but Tom Homer gave the hosts some room with a penalty before the last ten minutes’ drama.
In the other game, almost certainly condemned to with a 38-7 win over the Exiles.
The Falcons scored six tries in total with Sinoti Sinoti, Rob Vickers, Mike Blair, Will Welch, Ally Hogg and Tom Catterick, who also kicked four conversions, all going over.
Nick Scott scored a solitary try for London Welsh who are now 20 points adrift at the bottom of the table.
