Two second-half tries helped Leinster clinch a 25-20 win over Wasps in the opening round of the Champions Cup yesterday.
The English were very close from pulling the upset of the round as they led 20-11 at the break thanks to tries from Alapati Leiua and Christian Wade.
But they could not manage to score again in the second half and, with Darragh Fanning adding to his first-half try and Dominic Ryan going over on the hour, Leinster manage to steal the win at the RDS.
Toulon were made to work hard but eventually proved too strong for the Scarlets in the South of France running out 28-18 winners.
Tries from Matt Giteau and Maxime Mermoz answered one from John Barclay to see the reigning champions lead 18-13 at the interval.
Steffon Armitage made sure of the win for Toulon, who also had Leigh Halfpenny kick 13 points, despite Kristian Phillips’ late try for the Welsh region.
The Opsreys kept their unbeaten start to the season demolishing Treviso 42-7 at the liberty stadium.
Jeff Hassler, Rhys Webb, Dan Evans, with a brace, and Dan Baker all went over while the impressive Dan Biggar slotted 17 points from the tee.
Toulouse won the all-French affair at the Stade Ernest-Wallon beating Montpellier 30-23.
France wing Yoann Huget bagged two tries while Jean-Marc Doussain sealed the win with his try 15 minutes from time.
Timoci Nagusa and Waynand Olivier kept Montpellier in what was a very tight game while Benoit Pailaugue clinched the losing bonus-point on the last play with a penalty.
