Ireland will be sweating on Jonny Sexton’s fitness ahead of the autumn Tests after the fly-half broke his jaw last weekend.
Sexton suffered the injury playing for Racing Metro against Toulon in the Top14 last Saturday and the French club have confirmed he will be out for four to six weeks.
A return for the start of the Champions Cup and the reception of Northampton on October 18 seems realistic but if Sexton needed more time he would face a race against time to be fit for Ireland‘s Test against South African on November 8.
