George Ford could miss England‘s tour of New Zealand with reports suggesting he requires shoulder surgery.
The Bath fly-half should play in Friday’s Amlin Challenge Cup final against Northampton but will then undergo surgery on an injury he aggravated against Harlequins two weeks ago.
With Owen Farrell and Stephen Myler both involved in the Premiership final on May 31, Ford was set to start at fly-half for the first Test against the All-Blacks on June 7 but this latest blow to Stuart Lancaster’s touring party could see the return of Danny Cipriani or Freddie Burns in the No.10 jersey.
