Bristol sign Osprey Matthew Morgan

Bristol have beaten off competition from a host of Aviva clubs to secure the signing of ‘ fly-half Matthew Morgan.
The highly rated 21 year-old, who has made 65 appearances for the Welsh region since a debut in 2010, agreed a two-year deal with Bristol.
Along with Morgan, the chasers also announced the arrivals of international flanker Jack Lam, Leeds Carnegie -half Craig Hampson, hooker Max Crumpton, duo Darren Hudson and Jack O’Connell and flanker Nick Koster.
“We’re pleased that Matthew has agreed terms – he’s a talented young player with a huge amount of potential,” said Director of Rugby Andy Robinson.
“There’s no doubting his ability. Matthew shows a positive attitude in everything he does and his line-breaking skills will benefit our style of rugby.
“This is a great challenge for Matthew and I’m looking forward to seeing him perform in a Bristol shirt.”
Morgan added: “I’m pleased to be joining Bristol – it’s a Club with a strong reputation and plenty of ambition.
“I would like to thank the Ospreys for my time with the team and the supporters too who have been brilliant throughout. Hopefully, I will play a part in ensuring we finish the remainder of this season strongly.
“Thereafter, my aim is to make this next phase of my career successful, both for me and Bristol, which will be the best way to support my ultimate ambition of one day playing for .
“The attacking game that Andy [Robinson] and Sean [Holley] have instilled really appeals to me – it suits the way I enjoy playing.
“With the coaching set-up and resources in place, it’s clear that Bristol has the potential to be successful and I’m looking forward to playing my part.”
