Newcastle Falcons tighthead prop Kieran Brookes has been handed a six week ban for acts contrary to good sportsmanship, contrary to law 10.4(m) following an RFU Disciplinary hearing.
The charge, brought by citing commissioner Shaun Gallagher, related to a push on referee Greg Garner during Sunday’s Aviva Premiership match against Leicester Tigers at Kingston Park.
Brookes, 23, is free to play again on Monday 21 April and will be available for Newcastle‘s final two Premiership matches against London Wasps and Exeter.
