Bath claim Amlin top seed and teams

Bath will go into the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-finals as the top seed following their 54-13 demolition of Bordeaux-Begles at The Rec last night.
Semesa Rokoduguni grabbed a brace while Tom Biggs, George Ford, who ended the game a 17-point haul, Anthony Perenise, Jonathan Joseph, Dominic Day, and Kyle Eastmond all went over as the West Country side ended the group stages unbeaten.
Their top seed means they will now host the lower ranked pool winners from the Amlin Challenge Cup rather than face one of the three sides coming down from the Heineken Cup.
In the same pool, Newport Gwent Dragons beat Italian champions Mogliano 24-12 but finish third.
The Welsh side was trailing 9-3 at the break but two quick tries from Ross Wardle and Wayne Evans secured the win in the second half.
Newcastle needed a miracle to make it out of Pool 3 following their home defeat to Brive last week but they did what they had to do beating Bucharest 28-0 at Kingston Park. It wasn’t enough though as the French thumped Calvisano 31-9 to retain the top spot and make it through.
In the last game of the night, Stade Francais ended London Irish hopes scoring seven tries in Portugal to beat Lusitanos 48-15.
