Hayden Smith has rejoined Saracens after 18 months spent with the New York Jets in the NFL.
The talented lock forward made six appearances as a tight-end and he reckons his experience across the pond will make him a better rugby player.
He said: “It’s fantastic to be back. I learned a huge amount in the NFL, various elements that will help me become a better rugby player.
“But there is nothing like the Saracens environment and I am now completely focussed on working hard and helping the squad achieve all our goals.”
Director of Rugby Mark McCall added: “Hayden is a phenomenal athlete with huge potential, and it’s great to have him back in the fold.”
Our man Neil Fissler told The Rugby Paper‘s readers about Smith’s potential return to Sarries back on November 3.
