All Black head coach Steve Hansen said: “It’s great to have Cory Jane back. He has been a world-class performer and we are looking forward to seeing him back in the black jersey. It’s also exciting to have Ben Smith getting his first start at centre for the season.
“We respect the Australians immensely, but we understand that this match not only has the challenge of our opponent, but also one of the biggest challenges in sport, and that is backing up a great performance (in Johannesburg) with another great performance.
“This is a challenge this team needs and will help define the progress we are making. If we don’t attempt to improve our performance from our last outing, we are vulnerable to being overtaken.”

An eye injury to Scott Fardy has forced a reshuffle among the back row with Ben McCalman earning a start at No.8 pushing Ben Mowen to the blindside.
Will Genia will earn his 50th Test cap but, at the other end of the career spectrum, winger Peter Betham will make his Test debut after injuries to fellow outside backs Joe Tomane and Chris Feauai-Sautia ruled them out.
