Wales and Lions star Mike Phillips faces a disciplinary hearing at his club Bayonne after being accused of being drunk at a video analysis session.
Phillips and team-mates Dwayne Haare and Stephen Brett allegedly turned up under the influence of alcohol for a video session on October 11, the morning after Bayonne’s 37-6 win over Grenoble in the opening round of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
This is not the first time the former Ospreys star hit the headlines as he served a 10-day suspension last year and was fined for an alleged drunken night out after Bayonne played Toulouse.
The scrum-half is expected to be hit with a big fine from the French club when he appears in front of deputy chairman Rugierri Philippe today.
