1. Donncha O’Callaghan’s cooking
I share a flat with ‘Irish’ during the week and we alternate between cooking and tidying up. His cooking is good to be fair but he uses just about every pot, pan and utensil there is in the kitchen and makes an almighty mess. Apparently, this drives his wife mad too.
TRP verdict: Simmer down. You’ve got yourself in a right Irish stew over this one but it’s hard not to sympathise.
2. Losing
I don’t like losing, it sets the tone for the weekend. Narrow losses are particularly hard to take. Those type of results, when a few things could easily have been put right, really play on your mind. So, it’s fair to say, I’ve not been in the cheeriest of moods these past two weeks.
TRP verdict: Relax. You’ve got the right result here.
3. Clock watchers
I’m as punctual as the next player when it comes to training but in everyday life I like to chill. Miles Benjamin stopped over with us the other day and he’s very much the same: laid back. However, Donncha is the total opposite, he likes to be on the move all the time and know exactly what’s going on. If you tell him we’ll be leaving to go out for a coffee in five minutes, he’ll expect to be out the door in five minutes flat, while I’m easily distracted and will end up playing another game on my iPad. What’s a few minutes here and there between friends?
TRP verdict: Late for your latte? That’s criminal!
