1. Soap operas
I don’t get why people would want to watch other people being miserable all of the time. Surely there is more to life. I’m not a big fan of soap operas per se but Eastenders tops the lot because it so grey and depressing and the characters just shout at each other. Honestly, how many murders can one small square in London have?
TRP verdict: Would you Adam & Eve it, you’re off to a great start.
2. Terrible drivers
I do a lot of driving in and around London and it’s a miracle if you can go from A to B without getting scratched paintwork or, worse still, a dent to the bodywork. If anything the standard of driving is getting worse with every year I’m on the road. I just try and bide my time and keep a decent gap between myself and the next vehicle. Still, that doesn’t always work. The other day someone left the handbrake off in their car and it crashed into mine. Not happy!
TRP verdict: Motor on into Room 101.
3. Muddy pitches
I’d definitely be up for artificial pitches right across the board having seen how Saracens‘ pitch has performed in the Premiership this season. Firm pitches suit the way we like to play at Ealing: with ball in hand and with some width. In my early days at the club, when we were in National Two South, we played Dings Crusaders away and their pitch/muddy bog was the worst surface I’ve ever played on. No disrespect to them as a club but hopefully we’ll never have to go back there again.
TRP verdict: Once more, you’ve got good grounds for inclusion in Room 101.
