Ben Morgan and James Haskell have been called up by Stuart Lancaster to face South Africa on Saturday at Twickenham.
The Gloucester No.8 returns on the back of a hat-trick display against London Welsh in the LV Cup last weekend while Haskell has been in good form for Wasps in recent weeks too.
The duo replaces Leicester’s Thomas Waldrom and Exeter’s Tom Jonhson in the England back row which will face a daunting task against the Springboks.
The other notable inclusions are London Irish duo Alex Corbisiero and Jonathan Joseph.
The Exiles prop returned from a long term shoulder injury two weeks ago and has already impressed against Sale and Leicester in the LV Cup.
Meanwhile, Joseph overcame an ankle injury and will challenge for the outside centre spot after a convincing tour in South Africa last June.
As a result of their inclusion, Harlequin Joe Marler and Gloucester’s wing Charlie Sharples have been released to their respective club.
