Dream Team: Dan Mugford – Sale fly-half

Dan Mugford1. I don’t know a lot about pushing in the scrum but his skill set is top draw and he’s pretty hard to stop too.
2. Shaun Malton – He tore the to shreds a couple of years ago when he was at Nottingham. He’s now moved to Exeter and starting to show what he can do in the .
3. Conor Carey – He has taken the step up to the PRO12 this year joining and he is excelling. Or atleast so he tells me!
4. Incredible athlete with the work rate to match. Oh, and on top of that, the lad can play a bit too.
5. Dan Montagu – He sadly had to retire due to concussion but Monty was the linchpin of our Nottingham side. He did all the dirty work and some flashy bits too.
6. Mamuka Gorgodze – I only got on for 30 seconds when came to the AJ Bell in the Champions Cup earlier this season but the man is just a giant and has an incredible work rate to match.
7. Matt Kvesic – I played age-group with Matt and you could see he was going to be a top player. Reads the game brilliantly and once he’s over the ball there’s no moving him.
8. Paul Grant – He’s now at after playing the ITM Cup with Otago back home. PG scored 19 tries for Nottingham last year. An incredible athlete and great professional.
9. Ben Spencer – My best mate in college and I’m yet still to find anyone better. His skills are top draw and I’m sure he’ll be on the international stage soon. Honourable mention for Sean Romans, who played a season on one leg but read the game and made my job easy.
10. George Ford – We played Bath earlier this season and he put his side exactly where they needed to be with limited possession and took the game away from us.
11. Ben Woods – He won’t like the fact I’ve put him on the wing but he’s a guy who will always punch above his weight. Also best kick chaser I know.
12. Scott Williams – I played against him once and I could never tell if the centre was about to pass or run. It made him very hard to defend against.
13. Sam James – My Sale teammate is a huge talent. He is outrageously skilful and reads the game wonderfully well.
14. Will Addison – Another wing who would probably rather be in the centre and another guy with outrageous skill. I just had to get him in.
15. Liam Williams – The Scarlets full-back is on fire this year. Incredibly dangerous with the ball, leaps like a salmon and covers the whole back field all the time making my job very hard.
