1. Gethin Jenkins – The Welsh Lion has an almighty engine around the park and is simply impossible to move at the breakdown.
2. Shalk Brits – Love the way he plays the game. A running hooker may not be used as much in today’s game but he has the ability to step anyone.
3. Tendai Mtawarira – The Beast! …need I say more? A fitting nickname for his physicality and personality on the field. Extremely powerful with a ferocious tackle.
4. Alyn Wyn Jones – What an engine this guy has. He never stops working for you for the full 80. A true professional with a huge will to win.
5. Paul O’Connell – An inspirational leader and a great guy off the field too. Ran the lineouts in 2009 with the Lions and knew his job inside out.
6. Jerry Collins – No bigger tackler in the game than JC. He would intimidate players before they even got on the field. He loved his job on the field but when it was tools down he was a great guy to have on the team bus.
7. Marty Holah – Would have earned 100 All Blacks caps if it were not for Richie McCaw. The strongest person I’ve ever seen over the ball, a massive engine, with no respect for his body.
8. Filo Tiatia – He was at the Ospreys in his mid-30s but was playing some of his best rugby. A huge hitter and great carrier of the ball, you’d always be on the front foot with him at No.8.
9. Mike Phillips – You can’t have a Dream Team without Mike. He is so aggressive and a great player to have on your side when things got tough. A real competitor who would do anything to win every match.
10. James Hook – I loved playing with Hookey for the Ospreys. A natural footballer who makes everything look easy.
11. Shane Williams – I had some great times playing alongside him for Wales and Ospreys. Almost impossible to defend and could step you in a phone box.
12. Regan King – A full-back’s dream. A player that will hit you all day coming into the line. The most unselfish player I’ve ever played with. He got more joy in creating a try than scoring himself.
13. Brian O’Driscoll – A great player, leader and tough as hell to play against. His jackling game and tackling was something else.
14. Sitiveni Sivivatu – The guy is a magician. Some of the things he does in training are incredible. I had three great years playing with him in Clermont.
15. Christian Cullen – My hero growing up. Arguably the best No.15 there has ever been. He would be perfect in today’s game. I had a chance to face him when he went to Munster.
