1. Alex Corbisiero – Obviously! We’re the same age and I grew up with Corbs at London Irish before linking up again this season at Saints. One of the best scrummaging looseheads in world rugby.
2. Dylan Hartley – A ruthless competitor and a great captain at Northampton. He always leads from the front whether it’s for Saints or England.
3. Faan Rautenbach – The former London Irish and Springbok typified South African physicality. A huge man not to be messed with.
4. Courtney Lawes – He is one of the most laid back guys I know. But he goes to the dark side when he gets on the pitch and the next thing you know he is rearranging vertebrae on the opposition.
5. Jamie Cudmore – I faced the big Canadian lock only a few weeks ago when we went to Clermont in the Champions Cup quarter-finals. Someone who redefined the term ‘enforcer’ over his long career.
6. Dan Lydiate – The Welsh star makes the leg tackle a thing of beauty. Put one on me a few years back when Irish took on the Dragons and it hurt a lot.
7. Declan Danaher – A true London Irish legend. The wisdom he handed out when I was in the academy made me the man I am today. Forever grateful.
8. Chris Hala’ufia – Always prone to a controversial tackle but when he was at his best for London Irish three or four seasons ago he was one of the best No.8s in the world
9. Pete Richards – Another London Irish legend in this team. Pete has a superb rugby brain and was very witty too.
10. Quade Cooper – He was part of the Australia team at the 2008 Junior World Cup with Will Genia in Wales. We took them on in our last pool game and he left me for dead during the game, a career highlight.
11. George North – He is still so young but he is already a world class finisher. Will do great things in years to come for Northampton and Wales alike.
12. Seilala Mapusua – The former London Irish and Samoa star could do it all on the pitch. He also drove the off-field culture at the club which is a fine art.
13. Elvis Seveali’i – I’ve picked him for his partnership with Maps’ in midfield. Another Samoan with an unbelievable skills level.
14. Adam Thompstone – A player who combines speed and power to perfection. Steer well clear of his hand-off.
15. Tom Homer – He is often talked about purely for his kicking prowess but he has so much more to offer and we might see it in Bath‘s colour.
