Dream Team: Guy Mercer – Bath flanker

Guy Mercer1.Lorne Ward – The big man looked after me in my first second team game and did the same when I arrived on loan at . Great laugh right from the bottom of his drum. Turns out for now.
.Chris Whitehead – He was a pleasure to play with at London Welsh. I think he’s always been overlooked and underrated during his career but he was hugely talented. Went to before retiring and starting up an events company.
.Davey Wilson – The tight-head is as strong as a bull and a back-door offload specialist.
.Stuart Hooper – Hoops is the best captain I have ever had hands down. He is as tough as old boots but he is surprisingly fashionable.
.Igancio Fernandez-Lobbe – I remember him moving our scrum-half out of the way to box kick in his first training session at to Steve Meehan’s dismay. He also used to stay in shape drinking two litres of Coke a day.
.Andy Beattie – He loves shampoo, boat shoes and osteophytes. He was a great player and a Bath legend.
.Luke Watson – The outspoken Springbok was a quality player with a really interesting story. To see him dancing in his first snowfall during a trip to typified what he was about.
.Simon Taylor – Very nonchalant considering what he has achieved in the game. He is very intelligent with a dry sense of humour.
.Michael Claassens – The second nicest man in the world, after his brother Errie. Fittest guy I have ever seen. He was class playing alongside Butch James.
.Jonny Sexton – The fly-half gave us a real lesson at the big stadium in Dublin. We lost by fewer points than did in the Pro12 that year but we were chasing shadows and  his kicking was pin-point.
.Tom Biggs – He is extremely funny and a great character in the changing room. He’s very sharp but always takes the easy gags. If he doesn’t score he’ll get his head taken off and get you a penalty.
.Ben Williams – Ben just runs through most people like they aren’t there. Hi collisions with Sireli Naqelevuki against Exeter were incredible. He desperately needs a stroke of luck and a run of games!
.Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu – He has done things with the ball I’ve never seen before. He’s got feet probably as wide as both of mine put together.
.Timoci Nagusa – Really powerful winger with dazzling feet. Hoping to play against him again this year, devastated us last minute at their place in our last European trip there.
.Nick Abendanon – A Bath Legend. He’s an excellent player and lovely guy. Hopefully he doesn’t come back from with too many red wine stains on his teeth.
