Dream Team: Nick Fenton-Wells – Bedford captain and former Saracens and Cape Town back row

Nick Fenton-Wells1. Richard Barrington – Played with him at Bedford before he got picked up by Saracens. He doesn’t think about anything else than dominating the opposition tighthead when going into a . A funny guy too.
2. Schalk Brits – He’d be my hooker just because of his X-factor and overhaul flair with ball in hand.
3. Pat Cilliers – Very good scrummager. He started all year for the in Super and is on his way to where they love a tough tighthead.
4. Paul Tupai – I find it incredible that he’s still playing the game at 40 and at such a high level at Bedford. Top player who always gives 110 percent.
5. Alastair Hargreaves – He has had an incredible two years at Saracens and being named captain is a testament to his class. Everyone knows him as Jägerbomb which is pretty self-explanatory.
6. He was  exceptional last season at Saracens. A devastating runner with his big 125kg (19st 12lb) frame. The kind of player you avoid at training or to make it easier just try to be in his team.
7. Francois Louw – He’d be my openside just because of everything he offers around the field. The fact that he’s managed to keep his starting Springboks shirt despite playing overseas proves how good he is.
8. Alex Rieder – A very good player for with a massive work rate. He gets around the field and does everything well. Never easy to take him on.
9. Neil de Kock – He’s been outstanding for Saracens for years now and he’s also an all-round nice guy.
10. Demetri Catrakilis – I played with him a lot in my University years in Cape Town. He did really well with the Kings last season too and now at the Stormers. But he’s probably a better footballer than rugby player.
11. Nathan Earle – He was exceptional with the at the Junior World in New Zealand. He’s very quick and strong and it won’t be long before we see him break into Saracens first team. He’s got what it takes.
12. Mark Atkinson – He was just great at Bedford last season and he’s now signed for Gloucester. He’s a fantastic ball carrier with the offloading skills and vision to make his mark in the Premiership.
13. Tim Streather – He was just amazing for when we played against them in the Championship. He’s done just as well since his move to Sarries last summer. I just think he’s an exceptional player.
14. Ollie Dodge – Another one from Bedford. A proven try-scorer, he’s a very powerful runner and versatile too. He can also do the job in the midfield if he has too.
15. Alex Goode – Alex is an outstanding full-back. He is always so sound under the high ball and has an exceptional kicking game.
