Dream Team: Lee Adamson – former Wasps and Saracens lock

Lee Adamson1. Paul Rendall – Great team player and one of the unsung heroes. There wasn't anything extraordinary in what he did but he was the cornerstone of the pack and someone you could rely on.
2. Gregg Botterman – A pure competitor. Gregg was always keen to learn how to get better and was not intimidated by anyone.
3. Jason Leonard – Quality player who had self-belief in how good he was. If there was a problem in one he would sort it out in the next. That's why he played 118 times for .
4. Paul Ackford – Just an intelligent all-round player He was a great lineout forward and one of the great modern players of his era.
5. John Howe – Enormous, hard man who worked as a builder on occasion because he was obsessed with building up strength. Apparently, when there wasn't much work he used to dig holes and fill them up again just for the hell of it.
6. Richard Hill – A great all-rounder and fantastic reader of  the game. He was always in the right place at the right time and didn't make mistakes. One who did the hard yards.
7. Barry Crawley – Nicknamed “Creepy”, he came to from Southend. Barry punched above his weight and was happy to do it. He carried the ball well and seldom missed a tackle.
8. Andy Ripley – Andy was a man I had total respect for. He played in the right spirit and was also a perfect gentleman off the pitch. On the pitch he was an outstanding athlete.
9. Nigel Melville – He became the youngest player to captain England on his debut which says a lot about how highly he was regarded. His reading and distribution was quick and precise.
10. Paul Turner – Paul was among the best play-makers around. He could run and control the game better than anyone I have played with.
11. Lawrence Smith – He was incredibly strong and well balanced. Similar to Jonah Lomu in the way he had the size and strength to run through tackles and stay on his feet for support.
12. Will Carling – I played against Will on a few occasions when he was at .  He caused a lot of problems just down to his intelligence and the ability to make decent breaks out of nothing.
13. Just an absolute craftsman. His change of pace sometimes was a mystery. You thought you had made the tackle and he would just slide away from it. A superb player.
14. Martin Gregory – One of those players that on and off the pitch was just a quality individual. Within the team at Saracens you could rely on him to conduct himself in the right manner.
15. Sean Robinson – A team player with great acceleration who was dangerous on the counter attack. The bigger the game the bigger he got. He was an outstanding player who was effective at full-back or on the wing.
