Former Worcester Warriors owners Colin Goldring and Jason Whittingham could be set to lose another sporting team after offering World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury the chance to buy Morecambe FC.
The pair who control Morecambe via Bond Group Investments Limited have placed the club up for sale.
Fury, who lives in the town and is one of the club’s sponsors, has revealed he is thinking of buying out Goldring and Whittingham. “I’m thinking about buying Morecambe Football Club. They’re in League One at the moment. So I was thinking I invest X amount of millions in them,” he said.
