B Moseley ……… 3 Plymouth A ….. 20
PLYMOUTH Albion made it two wins on the bounce with a hardfought victory away to Birmingham Moseley.
The hosts made a bright start and took the lead through a penalty from Jack Jolly after five minutes, but that’s as good as it got for the home side.
The first half was proving to be a low-scoring encounter, but Plymouth took the lead after 29 minutes when scrum-half Jack Oulton crossed.
However, the conversion was missed by Thomas Putt and there was just a two-point deficit separating the sides at the break.
Despite being below the home side in the table, the visitors started the second period on top and extended their lead further when Morgan Stone scored, but Putt’s conversion attempt was no good.

However, Putt was successful with a penalty after 66 minutes which took his side two scores ahead. The home side had Morgan French sin-binned after 69 minutes, and Plymouth took full advantage when replacement hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie scored. Putt’s conversion was successful, and the visitors led by 17 points with under ten left.
Plymouth were unable to cross for a bonus-point try meaning they had to settle for the four points, keeping them in fifth position in the table.
