Leicester target Nick Abendanon signs deal to stay in French rugby

Nick Abendanon has been linked with Leicester

FORMER full-back Nick Abendanon has rejected the chance of moving back to the to stay in next season.

The Paper has reported a couple of times this summer that former Clermont Auvergne ace Abendanon, 33, was weighing up offers from and as well as London Irish.

The Tigers only offered the ex- star a one-year deal whereas ProD2 outfit Vannes offered him a two-year contract.

Abendanon, who won two caps for England in 2007, is 34 next month and likely to finish his playing career in France.
