HARLEQUINS are in advance discussions with Argentina No.9 Martín Landajo which will place a question mark over the future of England star Danny Care.
Landajo, 30, who has been playing Super Rugby for the Jaguares, has been appearing for the Pumas for a decade and is closing in on 100 caps.
Quins have been speaking to the Pumas vice captain about moving to the Twickenham Stoop next season when he returns from the World Cup in Japan.
Care, who turns 32 at the start of next year, is out of contract at the end of the season and doesn’t appear to have agreed a deal.
The veteran England back spoke to The Rugby Paper last month about his hopes of remaining at the Stoop, but his future remains uncertain ahead of the buzz of transfer movement in January.
Saracens are looking for another scrum-half for next season which could be a sign that the Premiership‘s record appearance-maker Richard Wiggles-worth, 35, is thinking about retirement.
