Leicester Tigers complete swoop for another Warrior

David Denton has become the second player to sign on the line for for next season.
The international back-row joins current team-mate Will Spencer in agreeing a move to Welford Road and cited his hopes of adding club honours to his 30 international caps as a key reason in signing.
“I’m really excited to be joining next season,” the 28-year-old told the club’s website.
“The club has a rich and celebrated history as well as a squad that is very capable of winning more trophies over the next few years.”
Denton emerged as a tough-running number 8 at earlier this decade and made his international debut for Scotland in 2011, and becomes the latest player to be added to the forwards by Tigers head coach Matt O’Connor.
The Australian has prioritised the forwards as an area for improvement by also signing flanker Guy Thompson last month and filling the void at forwards coach by appointing coach Mark Bakewell to the role.
O’Connor commented on how the calibre of players recruited so far can help return Tigers to their former glory after four seasons after their last appearance in an .
“We’re delighted that David has agreed to come to Leicester” O’Connor said. “He is a top-quality player with a lot of experience at the highest level and we still think there is more improvement to come in his game.
“He has a useful skillset in possession, he is a physical player, he is a good age profile for us and is just the kind of player we’ve been looking to add to our options in the forward pack. We look forward to working with him.”
