Quins continue revamping of squad with addition of Visser

have confirmed the signing of international Tim Visser bringing to an end his six-year connection with .
The deal continues Quins’ recent trait of signing internationals having already added prop Adam Jones and lock James Horwill to next season’s squad.
The Netherlands-born winger said of his move south, “I am delighted to join a club with as much heritage as Harlequins.
“It’s a dream come true and I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and helping the club move forward.”
He did, however, reserve special gratitude to Edinburgh, saying, “I’ve given so much of my career to Edinburgh and Edinburgh has provided so much in return. The opportunity to play for Scotland would never have come about, for a start, and it’s been a difficult decision to move on.
“A lot of people I started with have moved on over time, that naturally happens at any club, but I’ll particularly miss the likes of Roddy Grant and Ross Ford who are still here,” concluded the 27 year-old.
With Harlequins short of tries this season (10th in the Aviva chart with 33), director of Conor O’Shea revealed his pleasure at signing Visser: “We are delighted to welcome Tim to the club.
“He is and always has been a finisher, and with the margins between winning and losing so small, players like Tim can be the difference.
“He is a great man who is really driven to succeed. We are looking forward to welcoming him to Harlequins next season,” O’Shea said.
Visser has been named in the Pro12 Team of the Year  four years in succession, and could be joined in the back line by Jamie Roberts as revealed by TRP. When asked about Roberts, O’Shea had the following to say, “I’ll see if I can talk to him. I’ll try and find his phone number.”
