Bath Ford, Young and Roberts signing

It was one of the first transfers announced by Neil Fissler in The Rugby Paper months ago but Bath Rugby have finally confirmed the signing of fly-half George Ford from Leicester Tigers.
The move was the worst kept secret in English rugby but it could not be announced officially until now because of Ford's youth deal with the Tigers.
The 20-year-old was the first English player, and youngest ever, to win the IRB Junior Player of the Year award following a number of commanding performances for England U20 in the 2011 Junior World Cup.
Having been the youngest player to make his professional debut at club level, he has gone on to make 33 first team appearances for Leicester Tigers scoring 220 points to date.
Ford said: “I'm really excited by the move to Bath. It's a club building for the long-term, focusing on developing young players like myself and I can't wait to be part of that environment.”
Head Coach Gary Gold commented: “George is an exceptionally talented young player, and we are very much looking forward to him joining us here in Bath. He has already shown a tremendous range of skills, and at just 19 we know he will only grow as a player and further develop those skills.”
The West Country club have also added depth to their scrum-half options with the signings of both Micky Young and Martin Roberts, as revealed by Neil Fissler over a month ago.
In lack of game time since his move from Newcastle to Leicester, 24-year-old Young is looking to kick-start his career while Welshman Roberts, who is already behind Lee Dickson in the pecking order at Saints, was pushed out with the arrival of Kahn Fotuali'I this summer.
Gold added: “Micky and Martin are both very strong, capable players with good core skills and the ability to do things the opposition don't expect. They are still young, and we are looking forward to having them join the squad here and seeing them develop further.”
