Six-week ban for Darren Dawidiuk

Darren DawidiukDarren Dawidiuk has been hit by a six-week ban for a tip-tackle on lock Dave Attwood.
The hooker, who was sent off during Gloucester’s 31-25 defeat at The Rec on March 1, pleaded not guilty and will miss Gloucester’s next five matches as a result of the ban.
Should he be picked, he will only return for the Cherry and Whites’ match of the regular-season against on April 22.
At the same hearing, lock Lua Lokotui, who tackled Attawood at the same time but received no yellow or red card, pleaded not guilty to the same charge and he was found not guilty.

Looks like a perfectly innocuous tackle to me. He isn’t lifted past the horizontal and his head and shoulder hit the ground because he bends over!!
