London Irish will look to build on their bonus point win over Bordeaux-Begles last week when they take on Mont de Marsan tomorrow at the Madejski Stadium tomorrow.
After scoring two tries last week, winger Sailosi Tagicakibau, insists the Exiles have no intention of taking their foot off the pedal.
He told The Rugby Paper: “The beginning of the season was tough but our win against Northampton got us going.
“We managed to back it up last week to prove that if we play to our potential we are capable of some good things but we can’t afford to go backwards after these two good wins.
“We know we haven’t played to our best yet so it’s very exciting.”
Mont de Marsan certainly showed there physicality last week in their stubborn defeat at the hands of Gloucester in very wet conditions.
But, the bottom team in the Top 14 will face a far sterner test away from home especially if the Irish pack can create a platform for their exciting backline.
Tagicakibau added: “The last two games have given us a lot of confidence. Tomorrow will be another big test for us especially up front.
“Mont de Marsan are known for having a very physical pack of forwards so it’ll be the best test for our forwards to show how good they really are and hopefully pick up good momentum from there.”
