CAMBRIDGE’S women defended their crown as they held off a late Oxford fightback to win 8-5 in the 30th anniversary of the fixture.
Cambridge showed why they are unbeaten this season with centre partnership of Mary Coleman and Bluebell Nicholls at the fore.
Nicholls almost broke the deadlock when she smashed her way over the line but was held up in the opening quarter.
