Dean Richards, a former rugby ace for England is making a name for himself in the world of app development. He’s created what’s been dubbed the “Tinder for sports stars” app. Richards, 60, formerly of the Leicester Tigers, created the app along with his son. The app is designed for sports stars, who might not have any contacts or agents. Users can use the app to showcase their talent in a forum, with hopes of being able to attract interest. The platform utilises a swiping mechanism, which is similar to that of Tinder.

A New Way to Gain Contacts within the Sporting World

Apps are quickly becoming a way to connect people from around the world. Within the betting sector, you can wager on upcoming rugby matches with bookies who aren’t in your local area. Premium blackjack real money play games can also be played through apps or online, with the option of going up against AI or a live dealer. Welcome bonuses can also be taken advantage of, providing unique playing experiences across a variety of devices. Within the betting and sporting world, it’s safe to say that apps are becoming more commonplace and that’s one of the reasons why Dean Richards chose this as a foundation for his idea.

There are many people across Europe, or even over the world who do not have a contact or an agent that they can connect with. Richards wanted to change that, by ensuring that people always had the chance to shine when playing sports. He thought it would be a good idea to develop both an app and a website, so he could give people the chance to promote themselves and their skills. The Player’s Platform currently focuses on rugby and football as it’s in the early stages of launching, but he’s very open to making sure that other sports are covered later down the line. Some of the sports he’s touched on include cricket and hockey.

It’s Not Just Players who Can Download the App

Right now it’s open to coaches and physios. It’s also open to analysts as well as players. Richards wanted to include everyone, as he knows how brutal the sporting world can be. He’s also had a taste of fame, as he played for England during three World Cups. He even reached the final in the year 1991. Since he retired, he started a coaching career. He has worked with the Newcastle Falcons as well as the Harlequins and Grenoble. He’s even known for his work with Leicester, one of the teams that he once played for.

His ambitions for the app include making sure that people always have a way to be heard and seen, as well as making sure that he is helping to pave the way for the next generation of rugby stars. He’s putting in the work to make sure his app gets as much publicity as possible and the fact that it has a desktop version means that agents and other professionals can use it in a way that is convenient for them.
