Last Saturday’s Calcutta Cup was to me the most depressing win I can recall from England.
Two main emotions abound. The first is disappointment. England were so limited. For all Steve Borthwick’s repeated statements of being a team that wants to play fast and wants to evolve this team, the Scotland Test was a lesson in regression.
