Laws made a difference

I VERY much enjoyed reading the article on how positions have changed over the last 50 years. It would be interesting to see something similar, but on how the rule changes over this time have developed the game. With positions, I remember how the roles between backs and forwards were so different in both attack and defence. It was rare, and almost amusing, to see a front row forward sprinting to break the gain line, but not unusual now.
