Scrums are at the heart of the game

SCRUMMAGING is one of the pillars of this great game – remove them and we’re in dangerous territory.
I do empathise with Geoff Cooke; games should never be postponed if the oppostion cannot field a front row. With medical proof to support their claim, uncontested scrums should be played.
Scrums are not just a means to restart play like in rugby league. They go to the very heart of the game and should be as a proper contest for possession.
