Brilliant idea ITV! Put your freeview Premiership highlights programme on an obscure channel. Schedule it for a Wednesday lunchtime.
Replace Flats and Topsy’s amusing, insightful analysis with two pleasant kids who probably believe the ‘dark arts of the scrum’ and ‘rolling maul’ to be respectively, a Harry Potter film and a Metal band.
No doubt the BBC will follow suit by sacking Lineker, Shearer et al, replacing them with influencers (whatever they are?) and screening Match of the Day at 11am midweek on BBC3.
