LETTER: World Rugby made the game too complicated, attritional

This is a follow on from Raymond Howell’s letter in last weekend’s Rugby Paper about rugby’s loss of wide appeal.

THIS is a follow on from Raymond Howell’s letter in last weekend’s Rugby Paper about rugby's loss of wide appeal.
I agree 100 per cent, no 110 per cent, with what Mr Howell wrote.
The game of rugby in the last 10 years or so has lost its appeal.
It has become a battle of attrition not only in the pack but also in the backs where the motive seems to be 'do as much damage as possible to the opposition'.
