THE Championship clubs deserve far more than they are getting in terms of RFU funding and access to the top flight. Numerous internationals have learnt their trade in the second tier so why have these clubs been treated so poorly for so long? The ring fence makes no sense when bottom side Falcons are incapable of winning a single match. To grow the game we need more aspirational teams and a proper pathway.
